Awagami Factory is a Japanese paper company that produces washi paper which uses a traditional Japanese method of papermaking. The concept for this paper sample booklet was to create a booklet that was more than just paper samples but was also a photo book of places around Japan.

The colors for the booklet use colors that can be derived from natural methods while the photography featured in the booklet feature different scenes from nature as a way to show Awagami’s attention and care for the environment. The attached flip-up booklet about Awagami Factory also features a faux version of a traditional Japanese bookbinding method called the Japanese Side Stitch or Stab Binding.
